Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) Mauritius.
• Ensure teaching methods are engaging, interactive, and child-centered.
• Integrate Islamic values, moral education, and life skills within daily teaching.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Student Development & Assessment

• Foster holistic development: intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical.
• Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students in developing good character (akhlaq), discipline, and respect.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

Classroom & Learning Environment

• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Effectively manage student behavior in a positive and respectful manner.
• Incorporate digital tools, teaching aids, and innovative practices to enhance learning.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work collaboratively with other teachers to align curriculum delivery and school activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress.
• Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and syllabus.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience at primary level preferred (candidate with no experience will be considered).
• Proficiency in English and French.
• IT literate with proficiency in PowerPoint and other digital tools.
• Innovative and creative in lesson planning and teaching delivery.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to Islamic values, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.
