Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) Mauritius.
- Ensure teaching methods are engaging, interactive, and child-centered.
- Integrate Islamic values, moral education, and life skills within daily teaching.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Student Development & Assessment
- Foster holistic development: intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical.
- Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students in developing good character (akhlaq), discipline, and respect.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
Classroom & Learning Environment
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Effectively manage student behavior in a positive and respectful manner.
- Incorporate digital tools, teaching aids, and innovative practices to enhance learning.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to align curriculum delivery and school activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and syllabus.
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience at primary level preferred (candidate with no experience will be considered).
- Proficiency in English and French.
- IT literate with proficiency in PowerPoint and other digital tools.
- Innovative and creative in lesson planning and teaching delivery.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to Islamic values, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.
